Time As It Is
Lately, the concept of time seems to have faded a bit, it does not present itself with the importance and influence it used to wield over me. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not but hmm..
I think it's the holidays and Subang air taking over my system.
Now I have all the time in the world.
All the time in the word. Really.
I'm cringing at the sound of that, a little bit.
For once I am not running short of time. Yelling at Yang to hurry up and stop blogging when he's supposed to have his head burried in between books.
But you know, I can't wait until college starts again.
I miss the tarc aura of overly exessive hardwork and bad taste in fashion...
And I'm actually serious.

Dare You Ask Me What's Wrong?
And my bloody period isn't helping one bit.
Going back to drink twenty cartons of Milo and I'll see you guys tomorrow.
I really can't wait to go home.

Oh yes, I remember now
Remember the test which I rushed back to Setapak to study for? Cutting short my lenghty four day weekend in the process. The one that got cancelled last week after berbanyak-banyak hair pulling moments. Forcing myself to read another page of notes even when I REALLY didn't feel like studying with Yang beside me being intelligent even without lifting a finger -.- And later on carrying my notes with me to bed, reading until I fell asleep with the lights on.
Yea, that test. Which I ranted and whined over so much? The very same one.
It was postponed, AGAIN!!!!!!
I am that frustrated, seriously. A normal human being would have just say a prayer of thanks and be grateful with such luck, but I am NO NORMAL HUMAN BEING. I fecking studied alright.
HAVE YOU ANY IDEA HOW FAST THINGS FLY OUT OF MY HEAD?
DO YOU?!?! Very much assured, faster than you can say the pink panther ate a purple asparagus for lunch and his poop was green.
Eh woman, you think we people have got nothing better to do is it? Keep delaying tests, one week after another with stupid mindless reasons. I have better things to do you know, like sleeping for instance. Have you any idea how many gazillion worry warts I'm getting if I keep going at this pace?
And if you think I'm even gonna trouble my butt off to study beforehand for the test next week, dream on. Last minute will pass off as an okay the next time around.
This week: IT Assignment, Cocuriculum Day, a Long and Uneventful Weekend.
Next week: Econs, QS and the stooopid Accounts test, the YDC which I will unfortunately will be skipping.

Bing Bang Boom
There's so many things I want to blog about. But time does not permit me to do so.
I want to rant and rant over the recent change of events. I want to tell you about the moment ugly feelings I never knew existed that caught me off guard. I'd like to explain about the sudden surge of courage I had to confront things, which left me lost and secretly pleased with myself and the unplanned series of events we never saw coming.
I want to enlighten you on how leaving seveenteenhood and tiptoeing into the big one EIGHT left me with a bagful of thoughts. How my singleton status is finally being handy, not having to allocate time for just ONE person is blissful. And I also want to explain detail by detail the random gifts I've received on my birthday. How much it meant to me. How deliriously happy it made me.
I want to tell you about the wrong turnings I've taken and learnt that there is ALWAYS a way back to sanctuary. And lastly, I want to let the world know I have not been studying for Econs test on Monday. Which is why I should get my butt away from the computer and tube box and into my textbooks, as hard as it gets. Haih.

Always The Last To Know
This is a rant blog, so I will rant as I please.
I will rant about matters I know I cannot change even after trying so hard, I just want someone to listen and acknowledge it instead of giving me too-smart replies.
I will rant about having no newspapers to read during the weekdays.
I will rant about how much it doesn't make sense that Shah Rukh Han received Datukship.
I will complain about how much my handphone alarm annoys the crap outta me in the morning, because then, I have to drag my sorry ass into the eerily empty showers stalls.
Or that I sometimes miss having friends giving me five minute notice before picking me up for a random outing.
I will rant about the plunging Plurk's karma points and that I feel the initial enthusiasm draining away silently and slowly each day I'm separated with a computer.
Don't get me started on the canteen food, my new english teacher - Miss Elizabeth, the bahasa malaysia subject that's forced upon me, the ever constant rain that wets my feet but also lets me show off my umbrella, or how I always oversleep and miss meals, and that I feel KitKats are overpriced or how upset I am that Oreos are banned because of China's milk crisis because it's late, my feet hurt from shopping and I want my sleep.
And also because I realised as much as I complain, I love/hate my college and ulululand. (This is admitted with much unbashness.) Lets face it, it was this situation that I'd become the person that I am now.
Realiable and a companion.
You can't have strength without weakness.
You can't have light without dark.
And you certainly can't have love without loss.

I Will Not Whinge.
I, Yellow Pelaka splattered Shya, must not and should not moan and groan and grumble over the new semester timetable. As tough as it gets.
Even if there's morning classes EVERYDAY for five consecutive weekdays.
Or that I have to learn by heart the new significant times that I SHOULD NOT be in bed and class locations to avoid last minute panic attacks, calling everyone in my class to check the next class location or running from one building to the next only because I mixed up the blocks in my head. So god, help me.
And I should not distress my fellow stress induced friends by being unreasonably crabby, whining over the lack of breakfast or an alarm clock and cry out loud over the ungodly amount of time I've no choice but to spend at the freezer of a library during HOURLY breaks in between EACH class. Which reminds me, I need to equip myself with a sheep-skin thick sweater or I'll fall sick every two weeks. Groans.
But like I said, I won't fret :)

Having a Break, Having a Kit Kat ( finally!)
Last Friday was officially the day curtains came closing in on my first semester at college of far far away. Unofficially, it ended coupla weeks where lectures and tutorials gave in and left us with the sole aim of studying our hearts out, for me at least. And I swear, I have NEVER studied so hard in my seventeen years of existence. There were times it was tiresomely mundane, almost depressing.
Exams, at long last, are over. I have two weeks of holiday (yes, my college can be quite stingy, particularly with holidays. But when they do give us holidays, it is like Christmas arriving early). I have plenty to blog about but it simply won't do to type a five page long blogpost and have my already diminishing readers turn off by it, would it?
College, to put it into words, isn't much different from the customary school we're so used to apart from the freedom in choice of clothing which I got so sick of having to decide what to wear in the morning I couldn't be bothered. Only now, I was living yards and miles away from home. Which means freedom freedom freedom? The first few weeks were spent adjusting to the independence dropped in my lap (I did not abuse it if that's what you're thinking), taking full advantage of my supernatural ability to speak well in the language few in my college did, and getting lost in college grounds.
It was horrible because I felt like a foreigner all the time. It was horrible because I could hardly make one cina face from another. It was horrible because I was labelled the class banana. It was horrible because I looked forward to coming home since Monday. It was horrible because canteen food sucks. Ultimately, it was worst because I was all on my own.
My quota of patience would run dangerously low by end of the week, I'll shove my stuffs into Jun Keat's mini vehicle and attempt to sleep my frustrations away before reaching Subang. By the time the weekend has come and gone, I'd be recharged to face college all over again, and that's how it was, week after week. Hostel life was okay, if not bearable. I loved the jungle like surrounding, the cool air, making it appropriate to sleep at just about at time of the day, during the nights; the silence was piercing, the starry nights, and if you got up early enough (or jumped into bed late enough), the rooster's morning call could be heard alongside with the morning azan. And the rain. Don't get me started on the rain. It dampens my spirits to do just about anything.
Being the hardworking soul that I never was, I completed nearly every tutorial even if it took me three hours. I tell you ah, the amount of pressure I could feel mounting on me was enough to send me into depression. Not finishing homework was a unspoken of sin in TARC. Statistics was a nightmare, one I got over with given time. Tinboy was great help in that department, he made me draw boxes for all the probability questions! That is absurd.
After a few weeks (or months) I began to feel like I was treading on water instead of drowning in the sea of cina faces I can never seem to remember. All in all, I was feeling a lot more comfortable here than I thought I'd feel at this point. More comfortable than I had ever expected to feel. It's funny how perceptions change huh?

Taking it lightly
I think I screwed up my English essay. Oh sakai. I have to stop obsessing about it. After all, I'm in TARC, how bad can it be right? I'll be a-okay, I think. I was about to fall. Maybe I’ve already fallen and scraped my knees and chipped my nails, but so what. My ego will not be bruised by one mere dumbo essay. Hmph.
Random updates:
- I miss Madam Tan. Yea, she will still be teaching next sem, but just not my class :( This teacher is special, somehow. She notices all the little silly things I come up with in class. From sleeping, stealing bites on sandwiches behind books to fiddling with Milo packs, she notices it all. But now, all traces of human in her have somehow vanished. Poof.
- Before my first paper, which was IT, which I studied dengan penuh tekun and rajinnya sampai pukul lima pagi for days, just in case you didn’t know, my idiotic neighbor started singing really badly on top of her lungs. When slippers go missing, it is NOT MY FAULT.
- I have my own pair of fancy pants!! :D
- Will it STOP raining already? As if being confined within the four walls of my room ain't bed enough, to have the rain to tempt me to sleep all the time is unspeakable of.
- SHIT. Viruses in the library computers attacked my pendrive, screw you. I can now hear funny music playing. Aaargh!
- Mum and Dad dropped by for a visit over the weekend. Mum discovered a beach on big sisters bed *laughs*
- A pasar ramadhan is NOTHING, without keropok lekor. It just sounds very very wrong :(
That's all for now for dinner awaits me! Happy berbuka puasa people ;)

Economical Rant
I should consider stocking up on cucumbers to feed on for the weekdays in Setapak for I am too stingy for my own good.
I'm an Economics student, this is a rare occasion but I'm glad to say I actually understand why they're doing this, but I also know so many downsides of it. :(
Thank goodness I walk to classes. Because for a 35 litre tank Myvi costs roughly rm 80+ for a full tank, it used to be rm 60 for a full tank. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I might as well stay homw and plant taugeh. 35 litres okay. This is TOO much, our public transport is hardly efficient enough for us to rely on. And also, I HATE taking public transportation. And today, the government has assured the public that petrol price will not exceed rm2.70 perlitre this year. rm 94.50 for a full tank isn't any better is it? Pfft.
The prices of EVERYTHING is increasing like chickens, and EVERYONE is blaming it on the price increase in fuel because yes, fuel is involved in transportation, and EVERYTHING needs transportation okay. The increase in the price of electricity also provides an incentive for firms to raise prices.
Haha OMG. This is like writing an Econs essay.
Thankfully, I don't have a license nor do I have a car. In the long run, we all certainly have no choice but to save costs. Eat less, Shit less, Flush toilet lesser; save money.
Here's my theory, driving a car is like applying the economies of scale principal. As the output increases (drive faster) , the long run average cost decreases (less petrol is used) .
Sorry for the sudden outburst over the hike in petrol price, I had Economics test last Tuesday and everything is still stuck in my head. Heehee.
particularly when I'm in desperate need to get home and jump into bed after being deprived of sleep.

Slight Blues
On Monday, TNB did us all a favour and cut off the current for some maintenance work. The entire TARC, UTAR, Wangsa Maju and even Melati Utama was currentless. Imagine hunger striked students stuffing wonton noodles in their faces in the dark. At 11am, the sight that greeted me; a room full of vociferous Accounting college students in a hot stuffy hall, was too much for me. When the lecturer dismissed lecture after sitting in a summerged in darkness after fifteen minutes, the ultimately loud cheers and blares pounded on my eardrums as if begging to be released from the other side. Couldn't help but step outside for some fresh air, cool breeze and china chatter. Instantly, I was transported to my paradise where I suppress emotions. Completely deluged in simplicity and contentment that always overwhelm me like a torrential downpour. Oh boy, I love that.
Well I give credits to these wishy-washy feelings that I need through my stubborn phase. Thank you.
I stayed in last evening to get some studying done. Managed to do several of the things I planned yet I feel as if my day was wasted. I should have woken up earlier, should have spend less time worrying about my tummy, and completed more things. It is weird how previously I could just squander away my days and not feel guilty about it and now I think about how I could have done more instead of waking up at some ungodly hour and just lazing in bed with a book. But as always, we can’t undo what’s been done.
There’s a Punjabi saying that goes; wakt noon hath naen phar-da. There is no hand to catch time.
P/s: I did NOT fail IT coursework, yeah, the one I was complaining all week about :D woohoo!
